What IS spiritual accompaniment aka spiritual direction aka soul friendship??
Wikipedia says “Spiritual accompaniment, also known as spiritual direction or soul friendship, is a one-on-one relationship where a trained individual provides support and guidance to another person on their spiritual journey.” Some might call it coaching, counseling or accompaniment. None of these terms are fabulous. But at the end of the day, this is a helping profession led by people with expertise in creating safe containers that encourage spiritual growth.
Who’s your spiritual director?
Annie-Rose London. I’m bringing five disciplines to the table in our spiritual accompaniment relationship:
Jewish mysticism
Social Justice organizing
Leadership Development
My own damn experience
As a spiritual director, I offer “sneaky deep” companionship on the soul’s journey. With 15 years as a facilitator and life-cycle ritualist, I’ve built a veritable treasure trove of tools, frameworks and practices, but the most important discipline I bring to my clients is attuned loving presence. YOU and your soul journey are the star of our sessions, not how smart and wise I think I am! If you want the details on my professional experience, here is a link to my CV.
Some quick highlights:
Organizational Development: I have coached and trained leaders at 500+ organizations, including The Trevor Project, Wikimedia, Etsy and Tinder. While your work life and organizational leadership may not be at the forefront of your soul journey right now, I can offer a lot of resource should these areas be “up.”
Jewish Spiritual Leadership: I have been leading vibrant queer, trans, unapologetically Palestine-loving Jewish communities for 10+ years, am a co-founder of Shehechiyanu Queer Jewish Time School, and am currently studying for rabbinic ordination with Shomeret Shalom Jewish Nonviolence Collective.
Artist & Clown Work: A long-time InterPlay leader and Arts for Social Change Jam facilitator since 2016, I bring play, body wisdom, and ancestral humor into the room.
What is ensoulment?
Ensoulment refers to the life of your soul. It is how “well” your soul is doing - how loudly can you hear it, how integrated it is with your other body/mind systems, and how strong its leadership is.
Who is this for?

A lot of my clients are in leadership roles, but not all of them.
A lot of my clients are healers, but not all of them.
A lot of my clients are grievers who have experienced loss, but not all of them.
A lot of my clients are deeply active in Palestine-solidarity work, but not all of them.
A lot of my clients are or have been chronically ill and/or disabled, but not all of them.
A lot of my clients are stunning, brilliant souls… ok actually all of them.
